General Duties:
 
  • Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance of forklifts.
  • Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed.
  • Troubleshoot forklift problems including brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, and detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues, and/or malfunctions.
  • Able to diagnose and repair mast and attachment components.
  • Good working knowledge of brake systems and tire/wheel changes.
  • Ability to work on LP, gas, and diesel systems.
  • Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs.
  • Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
  • Perform safety inspection of forklifts prior to being released back to the work floor.
  • Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.
  • Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and neat work area.
  • Competent to complete legible service documents and logs for preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology.
 
Experience Preferred:
 
  • Two or more years of experience in a related field, including maintenance of various lift trucks such as Hyster, Cat, and Mitsubishi with lift ratings up to 12,000 lbs.
  • Solid foundation of mechanical aptitude and ability along with knowledge of industrial electricity up to 440 volts would be preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screen and physical upon permanent hire.
Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES

- Must be able to work in extreme outside temperatures both hot and cold in dusty, windy, and wet conditions
- Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pull own weight to enter and exit cab of vehicle and equipment

PRIMARY DUTIES

- Responsible for, but not limited to, handling and/or cleaning material through the galvanizing process in an orderly and efficient manner.

- Responsible for tying and assisting with tying material onto racks with wire or chain for safe movement through the galvanizing process.

-Use wire to tie material to bow racks, universal racks, or other tooling to prepare for the pickling tanks using specific training methods for the galvanizing process.

-Use rope to lift and prepare material for the pickling tanks using specific training methods for galvanizing process.

-Operates and visually inspects all equipment (i.e., forklifts, cranes, tooling, etc.) prior to usage to ensure no maintenance is needed.

-Learns to rack a variety of materials by assisting others.

-Racks, un-racks or cleans material in order as directed.

-May learn to use a torch to dry materials before hot dipping.

-May clean material using grinder, file, or brush as specified by customer.

-Inspects material for sags, runs, drips, bare spots and reports it to management.

-Uses bolt cutters to remove wire from product and tooling and disposes of it per established procedures.

-Learns to inspect materials for holes, smothered spots, etc.

-Perform housekeeping activities to keep production area and equipment clean and organized.

-Confers with supervisors to report material conditions that could result in production or customer problems by form of damage or quality issues.

-Required to wear protective equipment, follow safety rules and all company policies and procedures.

Job Summary:

The Bindery Operator will run and maintain machines that bind printed pages to produce books, magazines, catalogs, and other publications.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Operates machinery to cut, fold, glue, trim, bind, and finish the final printed product.

Reads work orders and sets the machine in accordance with job specifications.

Completes trial runs and evaluates the quality and appearance of the product.

Adjusts machinery as needed prior to starting the project.

Ensures that company safety regulations and procedures are followed.

Ensures that binding machines are in proper working order.

Sends completed orders to the shipping department.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems with machinery.

Ability to work with stamping, trimming, pressing, and binding machines.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to read work orders and follow instructions.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing during machine operation and working in a loud environment.
